For some, having an engagement shoot before a wedding is a great way to get used to the idea of being in front of a camera.
It is especially effective if you have the shoot using the same photographer that you will be having cover your wedding. This should help you to understand their style of working.
Of course, engagement shoots are not intended as a dress rehearsal for your wedding photos.
Some of the best shots from engagement shoots are often printed on wedding invitations, thank you cards and sometimes signing boards at the wedding itself.
Below are a few examples of engagement shoots that I have done with couples who I have then gone on to also shoot their wedding.
From time to time I also do photo shoots for families and couples not getting married, though I choose not to blog those types of shoot. If you would like to see examples of those please feel free to contact me.
I offer wedding photography packages with and without engagement shoots. Find out more about them on my Packages page.
