A small wedding does not mean an underwhelming wedding. Andrew and Madeleine got married at the Clumber Park Hotel in Sherwood Forrest in a relatively cosy ceremony surrounded by only their closest family and friends.
By the time their wedding day came around, Andy and Mandy were already well acquainted with the business end of my cameras, having had an engagement photos shoot at Linacre Reservoir back in March of this year. Thanks to that practice session they were much more relaxed around me and were able to get on with worrying about getting married instead.
If you haven’t been to Clumber Park Hotel I would definitely recommend it, not just for weddings but for weekend stays too. The rooms are beautiful, wood panelling and gorgeous bathrooms, though of course the real reason to visit would be the setting. You are right in the middle of Sherwood Forrest and on the edge of Clumber Park where you can spend all day meandering, feeding the ducks and enjoying the farm shops.
I had a great time at this wedding. Being that there were so few guests during the day I was able to spend some time chatting and getting to know people which I always love doing, the day doesn’t feel like work at all.
Special shout out to The Shambles, highly recommended for anyone looking for a wedding band near Chesterfield.
