Lisa and Simeon’s Wortley Hall Wedding
I had been looking forward to my first Wortley Hall wedding.
I had heard all about the spectacular grounds and beautiful scenery outside.
Of course, this is Britain, so naturally it rained all day.

Thankfully Wortley Hall is also spectacular on the inside.
My day at Wortley Hall began in the bridal suite.
I was already aware that there was going to be 9 bridesmaids and 9 flower girls so I was expecting it to be busy.
I was still a little taken aback when I first walked into the room.
Luckily there were quite a few familiar faces in the room.
Earlier this year I photographed Lisa’s brother Matt’s wedding at Kenwood Hall, so there were a lot of the same family members around.
I felt immediately welcomed amongst all the chaos.
This was lot a quiet morning getting ready.
For me that meant there was always something to photograph, always a moment to capture.
To be fair, whilst I call it chaos, everyone was ready in plenty of time.
Another sterling effort by family hairdresser Stacie who once again did the hair for the entire bridal party.
The rest of the day had its ups and downs, mostly driven by the weather.
Fortunately wedding spirit prevailed and even when the entire party had to evacuated the building due to a fire alarm the party kept going.
Some wedding venues really depend on good weather for decent looking scenery, luckily Wortley Hall is not such a venue.
