Having your photo taken isn’t much fun when you’re not used to it.
Add that to the idea of getting ready for your wedding and it might end up pushing you over the edge.
The Full Day
For years now I have been covering weddings as the full day.
When I say full day I mean from bridal prep in the morning until late in the evening.
To me the morning of the wedding day is where some of the most special moments happen naturally between the bride and her closest friends and family.
I even wrote an article about what I have learned in my time covering wedding mornings.
It’s here if you’re interested: Bridal Prep – What the morning of the wedding day is all about
Having said all that, I totally understand why many people would feel odd about a photographer being around taking photos of you when getting ready.
Most of us who don’t live the life of celebrities spend very little of our lives being constantly watched by a camera.
So it stands to reason that a lot of people would decide that they are simply not bothered about the bridal prep photos and would rather the photographer stick to what happens in the public arena, so to speak.
I’ll be honest, I think that’s a shame.
If nothing else, spending that morning with your photographer will put you and your bridal party more at ease around them.
Still, since one of my three guiding principles is to not annoy people, I don’t want to be the one getting all high and mighty about which photos you should have.
So, for those truly not bothered about bridal prep photos I have created a brand new package.
I call it…
The ‘Not Bothered About Bridal Prep’ Package
It’s really simple, all I did was chop down the coverage so it starts a little before the ceremony.
The coverage continues into the evening in exactly the same way as my Full Day Digital Photos package.
The good news is that since I get my mornings back and generally have a little less traveling to do then I can charge you a little less.
Full details of how much this costs are over on my How Much page.
To keep my package selection from getting too complicated I have not included albums or other options in this package.
If you’re interested in adding any of those options that’s fine, let me know and I’ll build you a custom quote.
So, that’s pretty much it for this announcement.
