Holy moly what a hot day to get married at Kenwood Hall.
After having covered a wedding in Tuscany just a month earlier I figured I was now good and ready for all weather conditions.
As Louise’s Mum pointed out, it was a different kind of heat than you get on holiday.
I’m not going to sit here and say that having the wedding on the hottest day of the year ruined it, far from it. People were hot, but hey, at least it wasn’t raining!
Anyway, on with the day.
Louise and Matt got married at Kenwood Hall in Sheffield.
We met in Louise’s particularly warm but otherwise very nice bridal suite where chief bridesmaid / hairdresser / makeup artist / bride’s twin sister Stacey was hard at work making everyone look beautiful.
I found out later than Stacey had also made all the sequined shirts that the bridal party wore in the morning, meaning she deserves even more respect!
Despite the heat it really was a lovely day.
As the sun finally gave up and started to set I borrowed Louise and Matt for a 15 minute break in the gardens, giving them a chance to take a breather, think about what just happened, and get a few lovely photos in the process.
